While on vacation I made a point of getting my Dad set up with ICQ. I thought this would be the very thing to enhance his internetting experience. So I’ve been back for 2 days now and haven’t seen him online once. This verifies my personal theory that he doesn’t go on at all and only pretends to have received my emails. (“oh yeah, uh, I got your message, what was it about again…?”)

The house is starting to have the first signs of winter dryness, no doubt brought on by baseboard heaters being on all the time. This year we will trade in our nosebleeds for humidifiers.
