Last night driving home the snow continued to fall progressively heavier until it was swarming around us like schools of angry fish in a nature film. Our car fell ill just five minutes from home, but had the decency to do so (again) while only 4 kilometres from the nearest outpost of civilization. To the credit of Kingstonians (and Amherviewites also…) I would estimate that one out of three cars that saw us there stopped to ask if we were OK. I had the cell and we were able to make travel arrangements with relative ease. Tomorrow Rabbit and I are car pooling into town with a colleague from work, which is a god-sent given the $20 cab fares involved with getting into Kingston from out here. The only possible downside is that we will both be at work an additional hour earlier than usual.
