Sea-Monkey™ Update: I feel that Sea-Monkeys™ are destined to be the preferred companionship for the busy executive. If I were a busy executive, I could verify this.

As of last night the little Monkeys were dancing on the edge of visibility, or else I am getting cataracts from Sea-Monkey-induced eyestrain. Winter is half over and the half-dead flies are still wizzing about, banging into the walls and annoying the cat.

The 3-day weekend is on its way. I owe my backgrounded feeling of excitement to this. I am also looking forward to being back in ordinary time. Ordinary time is a phenomenon not unlike an un-birthday or a Wednesday. Ordinary time is that in between time without socially imposed expectations. Ordinary time is free from holiday commercials. Ordinary time is special on it’s own merits. Ordinary time, this time of year, lasts until the retail world starts flogging valentines, roses and Hallmarks™ in anticipation of February.

I continue to park a full 15 minute walk from work so I don’t have to feel like I’m being exploited by the municipality.
