Oh yes, today the new IK Homepage went live. I’ve been working on it for a couple of months in my spare time at work and finally we launched it. So far I don’t think there has been to much customer static. I hope.

I took my first guitar lesson EVER yesterday, over at Renaissance Music here in Kingston. I have never taken a formal lesson before and the experience was kind of neat. I showed up, we jammed a little and then he launched into my lesson. While we were jamming I guess my teacher, John, detected some rustiness in the scales I choose in certain situations. We started out playing a blues jam type of thing and part way through he jumped into some jazzy stuff. Well that’s where my inexperience got the better of me and where I suspect John decided to begin the much needed retooling my brain. Funny I’ve been playing guitar for eleven years or so now and I felt a weird kind of resistance to learning some of the stuff he was teaching. I quickly got over it though and I have started to try and wrap my mind around the instrument in earnest once again. I am presently working on the C natural scale and the chords that go with it. I thought I understood these things.
